Still Pickin’ Welcomes 2026!

Happy New Year to all of our Still Pickin’ Family! Time has a way of flying and here we are in 2026! We hope your holidays were filled with the joys and blessings of the season!

The Still Pickin’ band is looking forward to the new year and we’re itching to get back to our active playing schedule of private parties, fairs and festivals. We remain active even in the slow months as we have always played for our elderly friends at senior facilities throughout eastern Connecticut. We are committed to bringing the joy of bluegrass music to these folks who are so happy to have us entertain them!

We are actively booking gigs for the coming season, with shows already on the calendar, including the Ct. Bacon Fest. in Lebanon, South Windsor Armed Forces Day and a Music Fest. at Priam Vineyards in April! There will be much more to come so keep an eye on our Calendar schedule on this website for our performance information.

As always, Still Pickin’ has CDs, shirts, stickers….and even fridge magnets for sale at our shows! Our CD’s contain bluegrass covers as well as award-winning original songs. Our shirts are emblazoned with our famous Still Pickin’ logo, as are our stickers (every guitar, banjo, mandolin, fiddle or dobro case needs one!) and our magnets.

We remain busy rehearsing and constantly bringing new songs into our repertoire! We are committed to bringing you the best possible show we can and hope to see you on the trail this spring, summer and fall! Love to all!

Like so many other events and concerts, The Annual Podunk Bluegrass Festival had to be cancelled in 2020 due to the pandemic. We are happy to know that this great showcase will be back this year! We are also please to announce that Still Pickin’ will be performing at Podunk on the Main Stage on August 15th! Headliners for the event (which runs from Thursday, Aug. 12- Sunday, Aug. 15th at the Goshen Fairgrounds) include Michael Cleveland and Flamekeeper, Po’ Ramblin Boys, Daryl Mosely Band, Billy Droze and many more!

Looking Back

Here’s a look at some past performances and posts:

Let this short compilation video of our performance at the Podunk Bluegrass Festival in Hebron, CT (August 10, 2018) be a reminder that warmer is not always better. It was a hot day. Really, really hot. Drippy foreheads, sweaty fingers, sweaty boots hot. In spite of the weather, we had a great time at Podunk, and hope Bluegrass lovers everywhere will make it out to the new site in Goshen, CT for Podunk 2019.
